Fingers-crossed it's full steam ahead in Barcelona for getting the 2021 Teamslot cars ready for customers. Another has just arrived in the UK...
This is the re-released TS12503 Renault Alpine A310 V6 Group 5 in a classic works Renault Calberson livery. Guy Fréquelin and Jacques Delaval drove the car in 1977 during their dominant campaign in the Championnat de France des rallyes - winning nine of the seventeen events.
This particular livery is from the Ronde de la Giraglia - a tarmac rally in Corsica and second round of the championship - which Fréquelin and Delaval won ahead of Bernard Darniche and Alain Mahé in a Lancia Stratos.
The Teamslot car is a beautifully detailed model and also a cracking slot rally car - probably the best in terms of performance that Teamslot have produced so far. The chassis features a 22k rpm long can motor in a pod, rear-wheel drive and wide rear track of 60mm. The original release was fitted with plastic rear wheels, but the more recent Alpines have had aluminium hubs.
And I've also heard that Teamslot's plans for 2022-3 will be unveiled next month - you can look forward to full coverage at SlotRacer
