Into the write-up I go for Wed 30th June, 2021 is at Undara Circuit.

This week saw another COVID lockdown in NSW enacted, for our small group we are fortunate to have limited numbers that are under the visitor requirements in private homes and with only four in attendance meant we had to once again race on three out of four lanes with one marshal, surprisingly we got through all our classes unusually faster than normal for some reason, even racing 4 minute heats, we smashed through the classes, this meant we actually had time to enjoy our coffee and tea. We did start a little earlier.

This week our MIA guys were Jeffery and Joe. Even with the four racers in attendance some very close racing was had by all with many tail end swipes at other cars on the track. Three corners predominantly retained the most deslots, on entry to the overpass, the left hand turn coming out from under the over pass and the right hand hairpin coming onto the main straight back to the start/finish line.

The banter was there to some smaller degree this week, quite a few of the deslots were caused with a grin on the face of the culprit, like it wasn't me, I saw you do it LOL.

No surprise with the leaderboards and podiums today with two top racers (Charlie and Paul), one intermediate racer (Lindsay) and one rookie racer (Johnno). Johnno managed to grab one podium placing.

With Paul back the rookies once again have fallen away from podium placings  however this also gave Charlie some competition as Paul and Charlie are both near the same level of competitive racing which is a good thing in slot cars as everyone needs a competitor.

This week we see the inaugural Can-Am class at Undara Circuit so new lap times and driver best times were added and replaced. Thanks Joe for letting Johnno run his Can-Am while waiting for mine to arrive.

All Leaderboards and Podiums were held by Charlie, Lindsay and Paul for majority of all events with Johnno taking the wooden spoon in every event bar one. Johnno had an absolutely atrocious day from the very first event, for some reason I was having chronic braking issues with all my cars, as the events proceeded to the faster classes this only increased. Got to the point that I was completely frustrated and nearing the edge of getting the shits, I have been trying to improve at every race meet so not to interrupt other's racing and well, frankly, just keep the car in the slot.

Johnno had his controller settings adjusted to the most dire of settings to reduce and stop the deslotting, having turned the sensitivity and acceleration fully off and the brakes turned fully on 100% yet the cars still refused to pull up, having to adjust braking four feet from the corners just to slow up enough to make it around the corner, usually the braking point is within the one foot range from the corner... tell you what, concentrating on the car that simply has zero brakes and try to keep in the race required serious concentration all the while dealing with controlling the self anger... got home, showered, swapped emails with Steve regarding the controller behaviour on and off up-to 0100hrs (1am) did some odds and ends and was in bed by 2040hrs... brain and eyes just hurt from the concentration, back up and into the new day at 0323hrs (3am) packed the controller in a box ready to post to the Australian warranty and repairer.

Thanks Paul for loaning me a Slot.it SCP1 controller which proved that there was something amiss as immediately braking returned to my cars, still racing with an unknown controller wasn't easy so I just took the days racing as practice on Paul's track.

that will contain their individual racing results and other information that the track owner would like to post at their leisure, probably won't happen so I will have to get to it myself sooner than later so please bare with me for a bit, where you can ask the track owner questions about their track, their cars, etc. 

Each week we rotate through the four private tracks:
- small track, Old Bar Raceway, Old Bar
- large track, Undara Circuit, Forster
- small track, Bluehaven Raceway, Old Bar
- large track, Shenanigans Raceway, Taree

we then repeat depending on racer availability for racers and marshals.

Tentative Racing Calendar*:
- 7th July Bluehaven Raceway, Lindsay at Old Bar, confirmed for the next meet
- 14th July Shenanigans Raceway, Johnno's at Taree
- 23rd June Old Bar Raceway, Charlie at Old Bar, 
- 30th June Undara Circuit, Paul at Forster,
