Drag race test track version 1A. Just the basics. The shut down area was very long because I had no idea how much was needed without a pillow. No power yet. The green tape on the wall beside the track marks the 7-foot run.

   

A regular power track was originally used. A hairpin for a return lane was added at the 12-foot mark. The 7-foot walk isn't the problem. Bending over to pick up the cars is not fun. Power to both lanes was activated at the same time through a power-bar. The pins at the end of 7-feet were modified to cut power.

   

The power track was changed over to the return lanes with a normal power supply and controllers. The 12-volt power supply was soldered to the race lanes through a toggle switch. Everything powers up through the power-bar. A 9-inch piece of dead track totally isolates both power supplies from each other.

   

A 12-foot by 8-inch board sits under the track. It will eventually get mounted and hinged to the wall. Silicone tires pick up every spec of dust. Keeping the track safe and clean is a good thing.

   

Stripes were officially painted at the start and finish line.

   

Scalex cars with braids run much better than AW with shoes. It's time to pick a few AW cars to solder braids under.
