Street Stock Round 2
No big shocks in the first round... what would happen in the next?
No shock, but two excellent times in the first race - Sue went sub-700 for the first time this weekend, but Clive hooked up the perfect run to clock 0.606. Enough to win by 0.099 with a decent hole shot. Would he go even better - or had he peaked too soon?
Jeff was ahead all down the strip, even though Alan got down to 0.674. The black Audi clocked 0.627 and won by 0.050 seconds.
Jerome was tardy off the line, Laura getting a 0.016 second hole shot and holding that advantage to the finish line - winning by 0.023. Laura's ET was 0.655 and Jerome's 0.662.
Rebecca was no match for Jane, even though she equalled her qualifying time. Jane's 0.618 was very fast and gave her a 0.054 win.
Jeremy and Bill looked very evenly matched, but it was the Veyron that put together the best run - a fabulous 0.636 gave Jeremy a 0.033 second win to line up a third round match with Jane. The winner would go straight to the final...
