I'm used to running cars that used to get that from car/truck batteries. I find the the modern RTRs are quite happy at that voltage provided the controller is of a high enough resistance - I use around 25ohms for them. 5 or 10ohms for the old cars.

Now, of course, with my new fangled Truspeed MT11, who knows what resistance it is? I just twiddle the knob until it feels about right. Suits my scientific approach to life
