I use this 5-15v 15A 200w PSU to power the track on my power modded C7042 APB - we use the same supply at my club.
It handles a grid full of Slot.It orange cans with no problems on a 20m track. These were sourced from Pendles I think.
This is my bench PSU 0-30v 5A that I use to run in motors (it’s interesting to see the current draw change as the brushes get bedded-in) and I use it to power my set-up plate which is 10mm Perspex with a routed slot and copper rails with a stop fence so I can use the plate to true tyres on a mule chassis.
The PSU is only a cheap unit from eBay but it seems to work well and the voltage can be very finely tuned.
