By the time of WRC moving to Group A, the UR Quattro was an old car with the in-line engine placement making it very nose-heavy compared to the emerging Group A contenders.
Walter Rohrl did a grand job in 1987 putting a 200 Quattro into 3rd place but Audi seemed to lose interest in rallying as they chased the American market.
