I've jumped into the 1:24 scale BRM Mini Coopers for a Host Class at Shenanigans Raceway. I hope the guys in the group like them.
These little cars actually handle extremely well and are very fast with the 19,000 RPM motors and grip, oh my gawd do they grip, when they do deslot there can be some very OMG moments, the most recent we had one deslot and my car drove clean underneath the other car while it rolled in the air, wish I had the webcam recording, at least I've got a witness to this rare event and other spectacular deslots have been end over end, these deslots looked great.
Thanks to Peter H and Peter D from MrSlotcar, Hallam, Victoria for supply and basic setup of the cars, thankfully I requested the cars be checked before shipping as one of the rear axles was completely locked tight, BRM where is your QC guys?? for $200 AUD there should be no issues of any kind, yet here those QC issues exist still.
Another issue I've noticed after running is the front tyres rubbing against the front bumper on all four of the Coopers, this was easily fixed with some sanding down of the problem area, still... QC?? BRM
