I can imagine a cartoon where there is the first public unveiling of the original J-van. They pull the cover and... Someone forgot the headlights! 
A few seconds later, 2-guys come running out with a headlamp each and a drill. After a minute of fussing about. The gentlemen jump out of the way and together yell "Tada!". It now has headlights. They look like an after-thought. But they are there none the less
