That does not sound well. I had hoped for some new SCX rallycars.
Anyway, many thanks for your great report.

Thanks chaps - it was a fun day Sun

A couple of Carrera-related things that I spotted this morning...

Slotblog.de posted this video of the Carrera D124 cars

Also, both Carrera and their slot car/RC app-developer Exozet posted on Instagram

Exozet specialise in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality projects, so I am intrigued  when they say "2020 will be an exciting year for us because we [Exozet & Carrera] are planning a lot of new digital fun together"...

Some nice info and pics of the Slot.it cars from Gary on the MRE Facebook page this morning.

Most interesting for me is the plug and socket for all future models - to make the universal Type C digital chip (SSD, Carrera D132 and oXigen) plug & play...

Expect more from Gary during the day on the MRE Facebook page.

At last! Some SCX news - and it's from Gary Cannell via the MRE Facebook page.

Gary reports that there will be four new Advance Digital cars and six new analogue cars this year, plus a new classic model.

New tools include these two rally cars - an Audi...

and a Porsche....

The classic is an MGA...

Gary promises to post more SCX news on Facebook and via the MRE email newsletter list when he returns to the UK.

Many thanks to you and Gary.

At least one proper (Spanish) rally car so far: Rofl
The Simm Porsche 997 GT3 RS 3.6 of Spaniard Albert Orriols, Rally Esprint Sant Julia 2015 or 2016?

On the wall to the right, just visible above the track table, there is a picture of a red (Mattias Ekström?) Rallycross Sonax Audi S1. Will SCX do this Audi S1 in a set, together with the Red Bull Audi?

SCX just posted a couple of videos on Instagram - one of some racing on the Advance track and a quick sweep of the stand...

The sweep is way too quick and the images I grabbed way too blurry, but there are a couple of things to see...

The is a new Advance 'Rally Cross' set with two Audis S1s. The other two new cars (apart from the ones Gary shared) look like GT3s.

Here are those two Audis S1 EKS RX Quattros again - Sonax and Monster liveries, plus the Red Bull individual car...

There is the same Original set - the GT Open - from 2019. The new Original cars seem to include the two Audis from the Rally Cross digital set, plus what looks like an Aston Martin (?), a Porsche and another pair of GT3 Audi + Mercedes AMG. Not easy to see though.

For the 1/43 Compact range, that's definitely a set called 'Rally' with two Audis, a Porsche GT set with new liveries and a GT (Audi + Mercedes) set with new liveries. No loops in any of the sets. As for the individual cars... they are just too small and blurry to make out!

Oooh!
NSR already working the liveries for the NSR F1 car
Going to be hard to resist that William's canon livery

Some more news from Gary via the MRE Facebook page...

First Thunderslot. A new McLaren M6 - the Penske Sunoco car - is not far away...

Gary also reports that a Ferrari 350P Can-Am car will be joining the Thunderslot Lolas and McLarens; plus a new saloon car range will begin with a 1967 Ford Mustang GT350 and may include other US pony cars and European saloons for that era.

To flesh out NSR's plans for the Formula 86/89 factory liveries, Gary posted this display...

And, finally, there is this update on the new Scalextric truck livery...

Paying tribute to the Scalextric team's boss, perhaps?

SCX did another of those Instagram video sweeps this morning and this is a much clearer view of the Advance Rally Cross set...

It was a bit of a blur, but the image of one of the new Advance cars did look much much like an Aston Martin Vantage.
