Hi Gordon , I've always done mine like that , partly because I find it easier and I'm less likely to cut myself . Love watching the Christmas cooking programs , well anything to do with Christmas actually !!!
Have a great day Gordon , I wish we were having a quiet one , going to my daughter's ,12 adults 3grandkids 3 dogs and nowhere to sit , food will be cold , but hey it's CHRISTMAAAS

Yeah, you too. I try to be a grump but don't always succeed
Managed some Christmas pud which always cheers me up. Too full for mince pies though so they will have to wait until tea time!
As ever, it's just the two of us which suits us fine.

Oh how I love this time of year!!!
The season's first spuds out of the ground this morning, the first cucumber, lettuce and toms out of the greenhouse. Flavour burst after putting up with supermarket mush!
Shame the chickens aren't laying yet (four new ones) or we would have had those fresh too

First strawberries of the year from the allotment today plus the last of the asparagus. Another allotment holder keeps chickens so we get a regular delivery of eggs, £1 for six freshly laid beauties with deep yellow yolks, yum, yum!

Those pleasures are probably a couple of weeks away for us up here in the north.

We've had all the panels out of the greenhouse for weeks now and it's still steamy in there!

Panels? In a greenhouse?
Does that mean you take the glazing out.
