Slot Rally GB Championship Rules 2026
General
G1) Cars must be 1/32 scale models of 1:1 rally cars
G2) All parts must be commercially available.
G3) Cars may be driven by two or four wheel drive.
G4) No Traction magnets allowed.
G5) Ballast may be added but must be inside the car.
Bodies, Windows and Interiors
B1) Cars must start and finish each stage with matching body, windows and interior.
B2) Body must be fully detailed and painted hard plastic mouldings with the only exception being early Team slot which are resin bodies. Lexan and 3D bodies are not allowed.
B3) Minor bodywork trims are allowed.
B4) Details such as mirrors, spotlights and aerials may be omitted.
B5) Lightweight interior may be fitted. Interiors must be painted.
B6) Any factory fitted interior is legal.
Chassis, drop arms and Motor pods
C1) Must be made of moulded or 3D printed plastic. Metal, Lexan and carbon fibre are not allowed.
C2) Light trimming is allowed to aid with body rock.
Motors
M1) Motors must be short can, long can or flat can.
M2) Motors must not be modified from manufacturer’s specification.
M3) Motors must be mounted in inline configuration only.
M4) Motors must not protrude below the chassis.
M5) Motors must not exhibit excessive magnatraction. Such motors will be identified by the “cogging” effect felt when the drive wheels are turned. E.g. Avant 20103, MB dodo, BRM super EVO and Slotting Plus SP090003.
M6) Brushless motors are not allowed. E.g, Slot-It MB01
Wheels and Tyres
W1) Wheels and tyres must not protrude beyond the body.
W2) All wheels must have appropriate inserts fitted at the start of each stage (This does not apply to sculptured wheels).
W3) All wheels must have tyres.
W4) Tyres must be made of black rubber.
W5) Tyres may be trued, glued and coated, but must be dry to the touch at the start of each stage.
Spares
S1) All other components, (e.g., braids, eyelets, guides, wires, pinions, crowns, axles, stoppers, screws, nuts, springs, weights, lights, lubricants, paints and decals) are free choice.
Formats, timings and awards
F1) Rallies will be held over multiple stages as supplied by the organiser.
F2) Each stage will be tackled of a given number of laps as determined by the organiser.
F3) The cumulative time need to complete all stages will be a car’s total time.
F4) The maximum time a car can spend on a stage is 120 seconds.
F5) The driver whose car has the lowest total time will be the winner.
F6) Each class will have its own winner. Awards/plaques will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class.
F7) Awards/plaques will be supplied by each organising club.
F8) Slot Rally entries will be four cars per person and a maximum of two cars in any class.
Slot Rally Classes
Classic class
R1) Any car that first rallied before 1980
R2) Maximum axle width 58mm.

Alfa Romeo: GTA, GTV, Giulietta. Austin: Healey, Mini. BMW: 2002. De Tomaso: Pantera. Ferrari: 250. Fiat: 124, 131, Abarth. Ford: Capri, Escort mk1 , Escort mk 2. Jaguar: XK120. Lancia: Fulvia, Stratos. Opel: GT. Porsche: 356, 550, 911, 914, 934. Renault: 4, 8. Alpine: A110, A310. Seat: 1430. Talbot: Sunbeam.
Eighties and Nineties Class
R3) Any car that first rallied between 1980 and 1999.
R4) Maximum axle width 60mm.
Example of eighties and nineties class cars include:
Audi: A1, A2, E2, S1, Quattro. BMW: E30, M1, M3. Ford: RS200, Escort Cosworth, Sierra. Lancia: O37, Delta, S4. MG: Metro 6R4. Opel: Manta. Peugeot: 205, 206, 306. Porsche: 959. Renault: 5, Clio Mk1, Megane Mk1. Seat: Ibiza, Cordoba. Skoda: Octavia. Subaru: Impreza Mk1. Toyota: Celica, Corolla.
Modern Class
R5) Any car that first rallied after 1999.
R6) Maximum axle width 62mm.
Example of modern class cars include:
BMW: Mini Cooper. Citroen: C2, C3, C4, DS3, Xsara. Fiat: Punto. Ford: Focus, Fiesta, Puma. Hyundai: Accent, i20. Mitsubishi: Lancer Evo. Nissan: 350Z. Peugeot: 207, 208, 307. Porsche 997. Proton: Iriz. Renault: Clio Mk2 onwards, Megane Mk2 onwards. Skoda: Fabia. Subaru: Impreza Mk2 onwards. Suzuki: Swift. Toyota: Yaris. Volkswagen: Polo.
Targa Florio
R7) Any car that competed in the Targa Florio between 1906 to 1977.
R7) Cars can be inline or sidewinder configuration.
R8) Maximum axle width 62mm.
