Not at all. If we don't make slot cars to look like the real thing in shape and decoration, we might as well just all race thingies.

Some people do Gordon, there's even national and world championships for them...in more than one scale too...each to their own.

Getting back on topic, the theme for Bordeaux 2026 is Ferraris, should be able to enter 30 or 40 cars, but which to choose? Decisions, decisions...
In the meantime here are the 2025 results
1/24th, the Brabham ate its pinion and I did the last 5 laps at a crawl, still not too bad a result.
And 1/32nd. The ugly little Matra went very well in spite of the steering, winning itself a f***ing big cup.

I wish I knew how to get Atlas motors to go so well. Pittman 196Bs I never have any problems with but the Atlas - yuck. Even if I get one to go, it blows up. I have just one left and it blew in spectacular fashion at the weekend whilst I was pretending that I was still doing Bordo
