Well I've read some more since, it seems I've found a subject matter I'm addicted to reading about...and I was never a book reader before.
These are recommended:
Although I had to skip the first 60 pages because of the waffle I ended up loving this book and learned a lot about a forgotten British hero who died tragically (one of many!)
Now this was a great read and where I learned to appreciate our Ken Miles and the political back stabbing that took place...he was robbed of a lap!
This is one I'll have to read again, I loved this book, again a driver I never really appreciated until reading about his life story and his dad John...definitely recommended
Now then...what a man our Murray was, tank commander, marketing guru...and expert faux pas creator...probably the most recommended of all, what a wonderful bloke he was, I love him even more now
'Our Nige'...he was a firm favourite of mine but time passes and you forget just how bloody good he was. I'm 75% through this book and thoroughly enjoying it, a man who should have died in racing accidents but fought on to the bitter end...a great Brit
...yeah, recommended too
I've a few more ready to read too and thoroughly looking forward to starting them, one of which is one of the umpteen books about Stirling Moss, one about Niki Lauda and 'How to Build a Car' by Adrian Newey which was recommended by many.
Life is like a box of Slot cars...
