F1 2019
#41

Hello Jason,

"I mean", the GP3/F3 and GP2/F2 series are getting a bit more respect these days so we start to hear the names of the stars. Albon, LeClerc, Gasly and others have progressed into F1, so the feeder system seems to work to some extent. Its not clear to me how the Red Bull "Driver Academy" works nor what assistance it provides other than finance. It covers several disciplines of motorsport and over seventy drivers have been through.

Alexander Albon is replacing Pierre Gasly at Red Bull for the remainder of the season.

Red Bull certainly don't muck about when they're unhappy with a driver.

If they want to beat Ferrari to 2nd spot in the constructors they needed to act...not sure Albon is the right guy though, not exactly set the track on fire has he?

Don't see they have much choice if they are going to swap drivers. Choice of four! Kvyat has already had this treatment so what have they got to lose? If nothing else, it may prove that they have an even greater talent on board than they suspected and the car is not as good as he makes it look.

Aye, there's only so many ways you can shuffle a pack of four.

With Verstappen being top dog, and Kvyat being the Toro Rosso benchmark, the only real choice was Gasly or Albon.

I mean, respect to Red Bull for decisiveness.

Mercedes. The greatest team in F1 history?

Well they broke the record for consecutive constructor's championships in Japan, and seem almost guaranteed to add another driver's championship to their impressive tally.

ARE guaranteed...Bottas is the only one who can theoretically catch Lewis

I  mean,
We have to assume that "Greatest Team" in the Formula 1 context is based upon success in performance then the measure would be the number of Constructor's Championships won.

Linky: The record shows

Hyperbole is the biggest load of rubbish.
