BRM 1/18 sidecars coming back?

I have never been sure why they were withdrawn in the first place. Although BRM didn't specifically state that they were a model of a specific sidecar type nearly all the modern chassis are built by LCR and I heard rumours that LCR wanted a licensing fee on the grounds that the model can only be a copy of their racing outfit even though it doesn't carry their name. If this is the case it appears BRM have overcome the problem.
I know doubts were also voiced about the practicality of the skewed drive to the sidecar wheel and the effect this would have on handling.
Must admit I like the idea of slot racing sidecar outfits but couldn't justify the expense for something that I am only ever likely to run round during practice sessions as I don't think it likely that the idea would appeal to others at SSRC.

Not really a sidecar outfit if it's 2WD, more of an offset three-wheeler.
Life is like a box of Slot cars...
