Hey all! 

This looks like my go to site as the 2 others I signed up for won't let me post or even view pages.

Got a great deal on a Carrera Digital 1:32 GT Face Off set. Used to go slot car racing back in the (I think late) 6o's.

Two questions, will a Scalextric 1:32 car work on the Carrera track w/out modification? If not what would I need to do to make it work? 

Looking forward to getting back into this and seeing all the innovations compared to my old analog cars.

To work on a Carrera Digital132 layout, all cars must be fitted with a Carrera digital decoder (or “digital chip”). There is a plug & play decoder for Scalextric Digital Plug Ready (DPR) cars...

   

This is made by Carson and will allow a Scalextric DPR car to work on Carrera Digital132. They are widely available in North America. In the UK, they are available from Jadlams here.

Non-DPR cars are less easy to convert. Slot.it are just about to release a Carrera-compatible decoder - item ref SP43 - that can be soldered into any analogue slot car or is plug & play with the latest Slot.it models.
