Possibly a stupid question but previously my slot.it lexan interiors have come in black plastic so I have just detailed with some 'paint pens'. My Porsche gt1 lexan has arrived as clear plastic, the only thing I have that might be suitable is plastikote aerosol fast dry project enamel.....wil it work?
Thanks

The paints used on lexan RC bodies have something in the paint mix that etches the surface of the lexan slightly to give the paint a good grip and the paint is flexible.
You will probably find that Plastikote enamel will either run off the surface or I think it is more likely that it will look ok at first but bits will gradually fall off over time where it isn't keyed properly to the plastic.
Back in the sixties I used to have to use Humbrol enamel on vacform bodies and the first high speed off into the barrier usually resulted in most of the paint falling off the bodyshell where the paint didn't flex with the shell.

Enamel on lexan bodyshell = paint trail all over the track following a crash
...on an interior it should work

Thanks both, sounds like it will work. It may look naff if there's any flex, on an interior I guess that should be minimal, I'll give it a go, spray the inside, then if it does look naff/fail I can try something else on the outside

A black Laundry Marker pen will do a decent job.
