There also rumours that Lewis has asked Mercedes not to appeal, because he doesn't want to win the championship in that way.

Well one of them has to win it that way, maybe he's thinking Max is welcome to such a tainted championship.  No doubt both will earn big bucks when the film about F1 2021 is released.

The BBC, in all its tainted and over the top political correctness, still managed to deliver another slap in the face for Hamilton.

I don't really watch or follow the SPOTY awards, but I imagined they were awarded for good representation of your sport.
Not on what you had won, otherwise surely it would be, a champions/gold medalist award ?
So why was the decision to include Lewis in the nominees held off until the race was over, then he was dropped because he lost the championship ?

Just seems odd to me, but then, being a grumpy old man, so do a lot of things

The beeb obviously think Lewis has too many chances at this so giving it to someone in the  'won something once' category is seen as some kind of 'diversity' BS.
