It's now time for
Micro Scalextric Street Stock Round 1
Top qualifier Clive beat Al by 0.172 seconds - 0.648 to 0.818 - in the first race.
In the battle of tenth vs eleventh qualifiers, Hank got bogged down off the line, allowing Sue to get away and win by 0.065 of a second. Her 0.740 ET shouldn't worry Clive for round 2. But that might be tempting fate.
Third qualifier Jeff comfortably beat Doug by 0.125 seconds and set a solid ET of 0.675.
Alan's Audi is not as quick as usual this weekend, but had enough to beat Dave's Stocker by 0.073 seconds. The winning ET was 0.707.
Laura's DBR9
is quick - setting 0.663 on the way to a 0.061 second win over Noah's Ford Focus.
The final race in the top part of the ladder saw Jerome's Veyron beat his dad's Audi by 0.059 seconds - the ETs 0.681 to 0.745.
Second-place qualifier Jane clocked 0.644 and beat Dylan by 0.148 seconds.
Rebecca's Porsche beat Andy's Alfa by 0.071 - the ETs 0.679 and 0.748.
Bill cruised past David by 0.058 seconds, his ET 0.687.
And finally... a bit of a scare for Jeremy. A very poor start left him with a lot to do, but once he got going he was quick. A 0.051 second winning margin over Iain's Jag and a 0.687 run.
Sadly, I failed to get a pic of the full round 1 stats, but ETs and winning margins were recorded.
