Surely, nobody would have been surprised before, he's a talented racer in a very good car, and was widely touted as being capable of giving Vettel a good run for his money.
Anyway, I think I'll feel very nervous for the young man, next time he's leading a GP.

Hello Jason,
In my book its still Vettel versus the Mercedes duo. I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if LeClerc is on the top step of the podium tomorrow.

You're probably right, but it would be great if Hamilton, Vettel, Bottas and LeClerc had a proper four way fight for the championship.

Lets hope that Verstappen doesn't do an Alonso and end up with a dud car.

This weekend one is spoiled for choice, F1, FeE, BTCC, ADAC GT masters, German TCR, WTCR (or are the WTCC these days?)....

So.... There was a race... Mercedes 1,2.
...*yawn*
Wow did you see the Formula E race?
Talk about crazy!
And the BTCC races, holy cow!
The Ginetta SuperCup was also wacky...
Can'r wait to catch on on the WTCR ...

F1 is very different to those series. And much more popular.

BTCC a bit tame this week - usual argy bargy in the midfield but three dominant lights to flag wins. Ginetta Juniors good entertainment as always and, unusually, a cracking Formula 4 race. Took me 10 minutes to whizz through the highlights of the GP.
The jewel in the crown this week though - NASCAR - the extreme lunacy that is the 2.6 mile, high banked, superspeedway at Talladega. Highlights on Freesports channel several times this week. Don't miss Brad Keselowski's reverse pit box entry à la Russ Swift; Kyle Larson's attempt at the Guinness Book of Records 'for the most barrel rolls in a single wreck' and the final fifteen laps.

Cheers Brian,
I think I'll have a look at some NASCAR racing. Need to get tuned in to the jargon the spotters use...

There are more cockroaches than people... doesn't make them popular. :-)
