I like the naturally haphazard look it usually takes on as real life is messy, and not all perfect lines and colors

I think that's the trick to getting the most realistic and perfect looking track.
The same applies to scenery; nothing is symmetrical or has only one colour.

Spent a few minutes last night running some 1/4" tape to re-paint the now-missing track boundary stripes.

A quick swipe with a brush and the line is back.  I'll grime it up to better match the existing, but one more thing checked off my to-do list.

Perhaps the most realistic track surface I’ve seen. The patches actually enhance the overall effect. Version V gives credence to the practice makes perfect saying.

Was able to get the fascia board fitted and then cut down to final shape.  The trim and paint will come later when the scenery is completed as it attaches to it.  

Next up: wiring, control panels, and tape!

Looks really cool!
You could even create driving stations on both sides.

Just an idea;If you make your track driveable in two directions and switch driving stations, you could have four different experiences.

Rally - that is EXACTLY how all of my tracks are built.  Each lanes' driver stations are in different sections.  Each looks/feels different as a result. And allows for marshalling with only 3 people.

I also have directional switches to reverse power and drive it in the opposite direction.

Steve - thanks!  It has been a ton of work, but happy with how it has turned out. 

The 1:1 slot car is a complete blast!
