So that looks like mine, but is that a different tyre mounting axle to my 1:32 scale 2.38mm one?

Same tire truer as yours. It had to be modified to move the tire post closer to the grinding wheel.
This is the adapter for Tuff Ones tires.
These are custom made. The trick is making sure the 3/32 reamed hole has zero run-out to the outside surface. Or you just create more problems than you solve.
You also need to make them slightly larger in diameter to fully grab the tire.
