I've just heard from Steve at Staffs Slot Cars UK - the SCX distributor in the UK - that four new SCX Compact cars are on their way to the UK. That's great news as the SCX Compact cars have always been my favourite 'off-the-shelf' 1/43 cars.

Expected very soon are two Audi R8 LMS GT3 and two Mercedes AMG GT3 cars, all four with Blancpain GT series decals...

There are more pics of the Mercedes cars on the SCX website: scalextric.es/compact/coches/ - the cars appear to have the same chassis and guide configuration of the previous Compact models.

Typhoon Slots and Models have been confirmed as UK stockists of the SCX Compact cars, with Pendles possibly joining them. Both have stocked SCX Compact in the past. Staffs Slot Cars will be looking at the new SCX Compact sets with a view to distributing them in the UK, although no firm decision has been made as yet.

Yes that is good news. The guide flag arrangement on these is great.
Just  had a look on the website and spotted the Lap=Counter unit - attractive styling that Scalextric should take notice of...

This is great news for the 1/43 slotcar hobby. SCX Compact cars run well straight from the  box!

i always liked the SCX cars when running them together on the track. close racing, much fun!
