Sorry, yet another post on these Revoslot cars. I would light to consider adding lights- maybe the Slot it lighting kit as the cars use Slot it modules. I would welcome any experience and guidance. As I see it, it requires headlight cover removal, and then removing the existing lens. Does anyone know if you can retain the front of the lens and just remove the backing for an LED to shine through, if anyone follows what I'm saying of course!

My first purchase, Slot.It Mercedes 190E DTM:
Very pretty but it seems that not even the mighty Slot.It are free of quality control problems. Fired it up and no response, took it apart to find that one of the lead wires wasn't connected to the braids. Also the front wheels wouldn't turn, adjustment screws on the axle too tight. Not a major problem and easily fixed but you would expect a £50 car to actually run straight out of the box!
A small query, this packet of bits was included:
The wheel inserts, grub screws and Allen key are fairly self explanatory but can anybody tell me what the washer, black and chrome plastic bits are for please?
That Mercedes can be turn in a 4 wheel drive some of those parts are just for that...

In 2020 I bought a lot of covide cars ... start with a slot-it Nissan skyline and a scalextric BMW ... the skyline right out of the box with a few adjustments rolled smoothly on my wood track. The BMW although narrow... I needed to change the rear axle and the rims and the tires but this is normal for a scalex

on a wood track.
