News from Austria's alternative to Scalextric.

Music is quite annoying and there's not many new models (no plot-spoilers), but lots of new liveries.

.docx POLICAR CLASSIC F1 final copy.docx Size: 19.41 KB  Downloads: 292
The Wirral Super Prix for Policar Classic F1 is being held at the Vale Coach House , see attached.

Anybody interested particular if you are local to the North West initially as space is limited to 20 racers only, so payment will secure a place on the grid.

The Wirral Slot Car Club has a modern smooth four lane track which has only recently opened so is looking to holding some small slot car events both for its members and those clubs and racers who may be local and not familiar with the Club and track.

I have recently added these to the scenic items index.

I have bought ten of them and am impressed with the quality for the price - just £1 each including UK postage which is remarkably cheap for 3DP figures. They do 75 standing and 40 seated variations, general use figures not specific motorsport ones but perfectly adequate as spectators. Minimal cleaning up necessary and ready to paint as they come.

The downside is that they are currently only available as a random selection of ten figures via eBay LINK but I am in correspondence with them to get a full catalogue and a way to buy specific variations.

No Tyrrell and lots of reissues/reliveries, but interesting all the same.

I watched the latest Electric Dreams video, an interview with Rafael Barrios Jr of Fly, and he said they are to do a new Tyrrell F1.

Now, I was using the YouTube autotranslate and it can get stuff mixed up, often ammusingly, but this seemed correct in context.

Is this news to everyone or just me?

Which Tyrrell might it be?

My guess is the 009 as it ran for a a few years in several liveries. I hope so.

There's instructions on how to activate the autotranslate at the beginning.

I purchase a lot on ebay, i'll make offer or buy outright, I dont often actually bid.
Yes I can play hardball with offers, sometimes it works, sometimes not, its all fair and above board.
If an offer is accepted or I buy outright I pay there and then.

On this very rare occasion I listed something for sale.

I had some tyres I took off my old car from new, they had covered under 400 miles (closer to 300 TBH) and had been stored in my garage on and under tarpaulin since.
I made it an auction, but also added a "make offer" button.

I also clearly stated collection only.

Twice I have accepted an offer,(4 tyres for well below the price of one brand new) twice they changed their mind for whatever reason, one failing to tell me until the day before his payment deadline.

And why do people message me asking what I will sell for, or if I can courier ?

I thought it self explanatory,  you make what you feel they are worth to you, and I will either negotiate, say no or accept, not rocket science is it ?
Or you put a bid on and hope for the best, there is no reserve.

Yet to discover my fees, but I better not be charged for the 2 failed sales !

News and Views: New Cars, Old Liveries and Some Bar Room Psychology

The last week has seen some interesting releases announced and we have opinions. Obviously. Thoughts on Senna's helmet, the exotic draw of Kyalami, Scaleauto's snaps of their allegedly soon to be released Mitsubishi Evo prototypes and then there's Pedro's inevitable outrage at the news of more fantasy liveries - just over half an hour of reasonably engaging chat.
