KLap Timer 2000 File Formats

Lap Timer 2000 implements Import/ExportImporting & Exporting Definitions data files as standard ASCII text. Each database record entry is written as a single line of text followed by a carriage return.


KDriver Information

Each line of the file contains a single driver name. Each driver name can be up to 60 characters in length. Up to 256 records can be stored.


KRace Car Information

Each line of the file contains a single race car name. Each car name can be up to 60 characters in length. Up to 256 records can be stored.


KCompetition Classes

Each line of the file contains a single competition class name. Each competition class name can be up to 60 characters in length. Up to 64 records can be stored.


KLap Timer 2000 Program Settings

Program settings and track configurations are stored in the standard MS Windows INI file format.


Note: There is no need to edit these database files manually. The Lap Timer 2000 ImportImporting Definitions and ExportExporting Definitions menu commands should always be used to read and write these files in their proper formats.


The following reports and database files are generated by the various Lap Timer 2000 functions. These files are located in the folder specified on the Lap Timer File SettingsLap Timer File Settings property sheet.


KHot Laps Database

Lap Timer 2000 stores Hot Lap DatabaseHot Laps Database records in a standard .CSV format file.


KFull Grid Race Log Files

Lap Timer 2000 can also generate Full Grid Race Logs suitable for ORS racing. The Generate Full Grid Race Log Files optionLap Timer File Settings must be enabled to generate these files.


KLap Timer 2000 Race Results

Lap Timer 2000 generates and displays the Race Results file at the end of a race. The Race Results file is a standard HTML web browser document. To review a previously generated Race Results file use the View | Race Results menuView Menu command.


KLap Timer 2000 Qualifying Results

Lap Timer 2000 generates and displays the Qualifying Results file at the end of a qualifying session. The Qualifying Results file is a standard HTML web browser document. To review a previously generated Qualifying Results file use the View | Race Results menuView Menu command.
