Importing & Exporting Definitions
KImporting & Exporting Definitions
Lap Timer 2000 provides facilities to importImporting Definitions and exportExporting Definitions configurations and definitions. These facilities are useful if you use Lap Timer with several different tracks or racing series.
For example if you have several tracks, but only one timing computer you can configure each track and then export the settings using a different file name for each track. Then to quickly configure Lap Timer 2000 for a previously defined track simply use the File | Import menuFile Menu command and specify the race track settings you wish to load.
You can also use the Import/Export facilities to store and retrieve groups of cars, drivers and competition classes. After defining groups of drivers, cars or competition classes use the File | Export menuFile Menu command to save your definitions.
Note: If you plan to save several groups of definitions and track configurations make certain the Prompt for Export File Names optionLap Timer File Settings is checked. If this setting is not enabled your export files will have default file names and will overwrite one another.
