New Team Slot cars - Dec 2019 / Jan 2020
#1

Team Slot are aiming to deliver four new rally cars either side of Christmas - and they look rather nice...

The Renault and the Escort are new liveries, but the Lancia Delta HF is a new model - of which we can expect many more versions and liveries. Here are a couple of pre-production pics showing the body shell and interior, plus the detail on the dashboard...

And here are some 3D renderings of another Delta HF that Team Slot are working on for next year...

The three standard cars - Renault, Escort and Lancia Test Car - will retail at £49.50. The special edition Camel Lancia will be available at £54.95. Arrival with UK retailers was scheduled for the week beginning 16 December, but most have been carried over to January.

A big thanks to Steve at Staffs Slot Cars, Team Slot's UK distributor, for the pictures and release details.

This is the Delta HF 4WD, first four-wheel drive Delta and precursor to the "integrale" versions. A very welcome addition to the range available.
Not really an homologation special the 4WD was launched as a road-car but then got pushed in to rallying when the Group B cars got banned. The Delta integrale was then developed with the widened wheel arches and more power. Three 4WD Deltas competed in the 1987 Lombard RAC Rally, finishing 1st, 4th and 5th.

I believe that the 4WD was the model prototyped by Scalextric but never produced, as pictures of that car show it without the wide arches. It had the Martini stripe pattern that appeared on the 1988 integrale cars. Presumably Scalextric had made the prototype based upon the 4WD and then time moved on and they had to make it look like the successor.

Thumbs Up

Fabulous, hopefully there will be full Martini striped version also.   Preferably in Lombard RAC deployment, but I'll take anything...

Thanks for keeping us informed Andy - a great service to the forum.   Yes

That is good news.
If the Camel Delta drives as good as it looks, it wil be a success for Team Slot.
