SW-S tyres?
#1

Anyone heard of them, know who makes them and has a link please?

One of the second hand Ninco cars I bought has them on the rear and they seem very good.

What is the origin of that SW-S designation - is it the lettering on the tyres?

If so, it is simply the Sideways designation for a wider tyre in soft compound,
eg Prospeed formula, Wide, Soft   - one of the tyres I suggested in the other thread.
The "Soft" tyres are 18 shore, same as Slot.it N18, softer than NSR Supergrip which are 22, firmer than Ultra-grip which are 15 or 16 depending on what information you read.
Also a somewhat similar compound to NSR Ultragrip, and have a tendency to ball up unless you true very slowly.
Personally, I prefer to use their Hi-Grip formula, which are easier to true. Both formulations are the same shore ratings for hard, medium and soft. ie 28, 22, 18
Here is a full chart

Yes, sidewall lettering - and yes the surface seems to degrade very quickly as in 'balling up'.

Thanks for all the info' but I think they're just TOO soft.

If you are keen on experimenting, and based on what I've read about what works on your Sport tracks, I would be trying either the HiGrip wide medium - very last line in the chart
- or a Pro-speed Wide "hard" 28 shore, which is closer to a P6
