Sanwa
#1

[attachment=4584Here, from the slot car museum are 2 rare 1/32nd scale Lotus 11 race cars. They were made around 1963 in Japan by Sanwa. They used a 3 1/2 volt Kako motor. The cars were crude by even the standards of the period. The chassis ,wheels, and their mounts were extremely primitive. Yet they have a beauty that is unique. The drivers sit high and proudly in their seats and the headlights look as though they could brighten the night into day. They have defied time by surviving . Tokyo Plamo bought out Sanwa in 1964 and these slot cars stopped production.
