I scratch built a car for my friend Richard. He originally wanted it painted red. I hinted that we already had a red '62 BelAir in the club. I convinced him to go with Tamiya gold. I was not happy with how the paint went on. However, my friend was kind enough to accept it. The car went through a number deslots. The paint does not stand up well for a slot car. It looks like it went through WW2. Not because of my friend's driving. The paint job simply sucks.
I offered to paint another body and mount it to the original chassis. This time with Tamiya bright red TS-49. I should have listened to my friend.
Much better now.
There's still a little chrome pen work, and some grill details to be done.
Thank you very kindly for looking,
Ken
