Strombecker set
#1

Here, from the slot car museum in Houston Texas is a 1/24th set with 2 Lotus cars. The set seems complete. This set was made in 1964, possibly late 1963.

Wow. That's a sweet looking Strombecker set. Stunning condition too.

Brings back fond memories of when I got my first taste of slot cars back in 1970.

The difference being... I beat the *bleep* out of my set.  Bigsmile

What I love about these old sets is they teach principles of physics and other things you can use elsewhere ... like the rheostat setup in the instructions...
All slot car sets have but you really can see how things really work with these things and if they don't work, they help you understand why...

People don't seem to car how things work anymore and often accept what others say as truth when it simply isn't...
