Hi guys, I really like the forum layout and design.
Just a suggestion, if its possible to do with the forum software.
On each post I make, there is an option to subscribe/get notifications in various ways, I feel that would be better as a global option save having to do it each post. You can always have a simple unsubscribe button on the thread if we no longer wanted notifications for that one ?

There is a thread subscription button at the bottom left of any thread page.

I didn't explain that very well, or at all come to think of it !
What I meant was I would prefer to have any thread I post on automatically subscribe without me having to remember to click on that option every time.
This is done via user options on a lot of forums, would that be possible ?
Or am I in the minority with that choice ?

I actually like the idea of deciding which threads to subscribe to. The universal bit rather clogs up the inbox if you post a lot and not all the posts lead on to further discussion.

I've found it.
USER CP > Edit Options > Default Thread Subscription Mode
There is a dropdown with all four options available.

I don't think that will do what Tel wants. It just sets a fixed option when you do subscribe to a thread but you still have to subscribe to each one individually. He wants to automatically subscribe to every thread he posts in. It can be done on SFI.

I may be misunderstanding, but when I changed the default settings for myself, it changed the subscription settings in the reply box, or at least which option was selected.
So when I posted, I was also subscribed, and got a PM to tell me that you'd replied.

I stand corrected - even though I am, of course, sitting down. Just changed my options as well and was immediately subscribed to this thread.

Give it a try Tel.

I'm going to have to unsubscribe again. All these pms and emails are doing my head in, they're coming at me from all directions.
