I have been printing decals for a few years on my cheap Brother inkjet printer.
They are OKish, ink is very thin and no white printing, been using cunning for the white options like inverted printing.
Generally OK for white based vehicles but next to useless for darker colour vehicles.

Thought about an old Alps but to expensive and hard to find replacement parts for them.
The Oki's are super expensive.

Has anyone found a hobby priced printer that does a good/great job?
Thick ink. solid blacks, bonus would be a white option but not necessary.

Interested to know what is out there.

I am interested in this as well!!

I use an HP currently but find the colours are not bright enough - as well as the issue you face ;)
