Aero Motors
#1

Hello all,

I recently asked if anyone had one of the Scalextric cardboard buildings that were included in the  "Super Stox" and "Banger raceway" sets (Linky)    and my brother subsequently found some photographs on-line.
Armed with the photos, I decided it was time to build my own. The original units sat across Scalextric track and I have Policar and Carrera so had to widen mine slightly. I wanted to make it a decent replica so left the windows and sky-lights blacked out rather than opened and glazed but the posters and such have been left off.
I'm quite pleased with the result although I don't currently have a location for it (LOL).
The walls and roof are made using photo-mount board with the brickwork glued on.

PS - Whats the betting that Magnetic Racing soon offer such a thing?

Good job Leo  Thumbup

That is very clever, looks so similar.  When I saw your post I thought you'd found the original.

Love the fact it doesn't actually have a permanent space, as yet!!

Tempted to try something similar,  but where would it go......
Nice to see an Austin Cambridge/Morris Oxford in the photo Yes

I should have noticed that, but was looking at the post on my phone.
Obviously a Westminster from the front on photo.

I have a very large selection of 1960"s, 70's and 80's 3D printed bodies, including both the Westminster and the Wolesley 6/110, all waiting their turn to be built.  They will all be built as Banger racers, depicting all my favourite drivers from the mid 80s to the mid 90's.  Not everyones cup of tea, but it will keep me happy!

Love your Aero Motors building, definitely cool  Sun

Cheers Kev.
It was a bit of an obsession that I have now managed to box-tick.
