Abbott's Wood
#1

Everything used to be based in my loft, but age is not on my side. So after years of having to climb up there, suffering brutal heat and cold, the good lady wife finally allowed me to build a shed at the end of the garden.
The track is not as big as the loft version, but I enjoy it so much more now. It's about 50 foot, 4-lane Ninco. If George Turner had announced his MDF custom routed track pieces about a year earlier, I would have been tempted to do a three-lane track. But no matter... it keeps me out of mischief :-)

Hi Marc,

Very nice track with a realistic ruin of a house and a lot of details.
I like your overview photos.
How did you take them? Did you use a tripod with timer and hide yourself thereafer under the table?  Idea
Keep the pictures coming. Well done.

Ooh! Very nice and shed is a great idea, wish I had room for one. Loft layouts are definitely for people with younger legs than mine.

Thank you for your replies.
My detail will never be as good as yours Hub. Incidentally, for all photos I simply use my iPhone on the max settings and then (if necessary) manipulate in photoshop.

Also - I have purchased some large light blue sheets (cotton bedding) which I can pin up on the walls behind to give a basis for sky when I'm doing photos - very easy to do.

Just a few more things to do - the laptop needs a small table near the start line. This will be race control.
Also, permanent tea making facilities... a small fridge is already installed.

I really am so glad to get out of the loft!!!!
