Avant Slot have unveiled their 2023 plans at Foroslot this weekend. There are some exciting new cars and liveries...
There are new liveries for the Alpine A310, Opel Manta, BMW 635CSi, BMW 2002i and Ferrari 308 GTB - plus brand new tooling for a Nissan 240RS, Mitsubishi Galant VR4 and a Kamaz Dakar truck.
In a return to Avant Slot's excellent Le Mans Prototype range of the late 2000s, six new Le Mans Hypercar and LMDh models are coming very soon. Rather like their service vans, the bodies will be made from ABS resin, with plastic chassis underneath. This allows faster turnaround than injection moulded bodies. If the plan is to use the previous LMP chassis, then there are already race-proven 3D printed options available from Olifer and others. If a new generic chassis is in the pipeline, I'd expect Olifer to get their version in production very soon.
The highlight for me - apart from the LMH / LMDh cars - has to be the Jimmy McRae Manta. It's about time!
