If there is one thing worse than Scalextric tyres then it has to be Carrera. They frequently go rock hard or turn to mush and it is virtually impossible to source replacements in the UK. Nearly all their wheels are non standard sizes as well.
I currently have these four cars in dire need of replacements:
Paul Gage does urethanes for the hotrod but not the others, the postage costs from Canada are in the stratosphere and his UK agent can't get them. He doesn't make them for the other three cars and I can't find any of the cottage industry urethane people who make them.
If anybody has any ideas for a UK supplier I would love to hear from you.

Why not contact Colin at RSSlotracing, he is the UK distributor for "Ortmann" urethane tyres, and while he only has a few Carrera specific tyres listed, if you can give him your wheel dimensions, he will likely be able to find something that will fit...........a good guy to deal with and excellent customer service.
Cheers

Another I was recommended to was Gareth of Slot Car Supplies, as I'm after tyres for the Carrera Cheetah - same issues as you. Fronts rock solid, rears mush.
He didn't have the correct Paul Gage tyres in stock but is adding them to his next order. I offered to pay up front to show good faith but he prefers to wait until he has them.
Delivery time unknown but it doesn't matter to me as the car is useless without decent tyres!
Very responsive to his online contact on his website:

Thanks, I know about both those and have bought from them. Slot Car Supplies couldn't get any for the hotrod from Paul Gage when I asked and Colin has nothing suitable either. Ortmann are a German firm, do lots of Carrera replacements there which are not imported to the UK and it is difficult to navigate the EU stores selling them.
