Tyres for Carrera Cheetah?
#1

Just bought a nice Carrera 1/32 #14 Cheetah. Love it - but it's suffering from both extremes of Carrera tyre syndrome. Fronts are rock hard and rears like mush.

Any recommendations for original or aftermarket replacements (not silicones) available in the UK please?

I'm wanting to keep the standard wheels and will be using it magless on Scalextric Sport track.

Thanks.

The Paul Gage code for his Carrera Cheetah tyres is: PGT-24125XXD

That means 24mm diameter, 12mm wide and a 5mm wide centre rib and an extra-extra-deep groove to take that rib.

UK stockist is Gareth at Slot Car Supplies. He doesn't have that size on his site, but you could ask if he can order them in: https://www.slot-car-supplies.co.uk/prod...age-tires/

I don't see any other sizes that are tall enough - the Cheetah seems to be a unique tyre. Mike D at WHO has moulds for some more common Carrera cars - GT3/DTM and the narrower Classics and Nascars. Likewise Phil R at DHORC, who is making urethanes for their Carrera Digital racing. They might be worth a try?

Thanks Andy - a few avenues to try then. Thumbup

As a starter I've used SCS's 'Contact' form to see what they can do.
