Classes For 2022
#1

We are ushering in some changes to the calendar at Viking SCC this year.  Some favourites will obviously remain, so as the year goes on you can still expect to see the likes of LMP & GT1, Slot It Group C and NSR GT3

as well as the Modified Classes of Rally, Touring Car and LMP.

Some previous support classes also remain in the form of Classic Muscle Car, Classic Sports and NASCAR.

And the always competitive one make club car classes such as NSR Fiat 500's, NSR Ford MkIV's and Policar P4's will also remain.

The first new class will be Slot It DTM.  With an ever expanding range of cars and liveries, it makes for a grid of cars that look as good as they run.

We will also be including the Slot It Skyline R32 GTR in this list.  Yes, it didn't race in the DTM; but the specification of the Slot It model is in keeping with the other DTM cars and it is certainly in the right era of the cars that competed against the likes of the Evo2 Mercedes

These will be run with minimal changes and be using a control tyre supplied by the club on each evening of racing to keep things competitive.  Testing is also underway to see if there needs to be any "balancing" to level the performance of the cars around our track to encourage a mixed grid.

The next new class will be Scalextric BTCC.  Again, a good variety of cars and a huge variety of liveries should make for a nice mixed grid.

This class will be run using Slot It 21k motors and race day club provided Slot It silicone tyres.
