The 2021 Nürburgring 24 hours takes place this week. 210 cars and up to 800 drivers will be having the time of their lives on the Nürburgring Nordschleife – qualifying is today and the race starts on Saturday afternoon. Expect to find live timing on the official ADAC 24 hour website and live streaming on YouTube here. There will be commentary in German and English.

Some really good coverage of the evening qualifying session going into the night - a fabulous taster for the race itself. It's great seeing top-notch pictures, choice of onboard cameras and the very best commentary (the Radio Le Mans crew) on one of the iconic circuits - the Nordschleife. Could be a long night for me tomorrow.

   


A Huracán currently on pole, followed by a gaggle of Porches, BMWs and Audis. And the Manta is in there somewhere.

Did someone forget to include a cut off date for the cars, allowing the Manta to compete?

Hopefully the speed differential is not too great to cause surprises in the middle of the night when the Huracán comes across it.

I don't think the Manta will be in the top-30 qualifying shootout this evening... but it will be in Qualifying 3 this afternoon...

I had the good fortune to attend this lunatic race a good few years ago.

At the front were Porsche GT2, Dodge Viper, Ferrari 550GT, etc.
At the rear were Deisel Opel Astra estates, Smart for twos, A Mercedes 460SLC Auto - I kid you not. What a fantastic race!

Somewhere around 2000 AD, blasted onto my brain forever, thanks Falken Tyres...

It's a race I'd love to go to - brilliant and utterly bonkers  

There's live coverage from the pit lane now - with the warm-up at 10.30 UK time and then the race stream starts at 13.30...



Plus there's separate streams for onboard footage of fourteen of the cars - including the #1 Rowe Racing BMW, #2 Audi Sport R8, #5 Phoenix Racing Audi R8, #6 Team HRT Mercedes, #77 BMW Junior Team and the #831 Hyundai Motorsport i30 N TCR. For anyone tuning in overnight, thick fog has covered two-thirds of the track and the race has been red-flagged. It’s likely to stay that way until the morning - but do rewind to the start. The race so far has been brilliant to watch and full of incident. At least I’ll get some sleep and (probably) not miss anything.

Edit - the earliest possible restart will be 6am UK time.
