Goodwood/Targa
#1

Hi All

Having retired last year I was determined to build the slot car layout of my childhood dreams.
My Goodwood/Targa Florio L shaped track took about 6 months to build, and is more or less finished apart from a few more dedicated figures and of course more cars.

Hope you like.
Cheers

Lovely layout! Full of atmosphere and style and a great balance of circuit and road racing. Did you make the village buildings yourself?

The whole thing is a fantastic piece of modelling with great detailing and looks like a lot of fun to drive!

Thanks for sharing,

Thanks for your replies guys, much appreciated!

Yes the village was scratch build from card and wood, based on a holiday trip to Sicily.
Shorty after I completed the Targa section NSR bought out the 4 Porsche 908 Aces, so the timing was very opportune!

Yes was a good start to my retirement!

Hello GT Sprite,

That's a neat concept and very nicely executed.

Nice layout.

We have just returned from Sicily.

Did you visit the Targa Floria museum at Termini Imerese just outside Palermo, fascinating place.
