The Race Control System team - Marcel and Martin - have just announced that their relationship with Slot.it has stepped up a few gears in the past few months.
In practice, that means...
- The RCS team will be more involved in testing before firmware updates for Slot.it products are released
- The RCS team has created a test tool (DiagnoXigen) to help with problem analysis (beta release)
- The RCS team is involved in developing oXigen to take the system to the next level
- RCSO2 will be adapted to become the new default RMS for oXigen, replacing Chrono. RCSO2 is being re-built to offer a 20 car RMS which can be upgraded to have the usual RCS simulations, pace car features etc.
Quote:This last point we did not see coming 6 months ago, so has changed our plans for release dates. We were supposed to release the 8 car version of RCSO2 with SSD-C7042 support around now, but because we are working on making a valuable replacement of Chrono those releases will be later. We will keep you posted and in the mean time we continue our work on RCSO2 and of course the touch screens, but now knowing we have full support and vice versa of Slot.it.
That's great news for both oXigen and RCS fans
