Hello,
I am new to slots, and the spring for the guide in one of my cars from the 132 Furore Carrera set, doesn't bounce back correctly on one direction.
Does anyone know where I can find a spring replacement? I have googled everything I can think of... I can find every other part but the spring.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Ryan

OK, I got it.
Carrera guides are not something I use but there are some good resources available
The return spring centres the guide.
There is only one spring to return the guide to centre so its very unlikely that the cause of the problem is the spring itself.
This vid shows how to remove the guide

This next one shows how to prep and reinstall the guide, ensuring free movement left and right

Looking at the youtube vids, its likely that the lockup is caused by the guide not moving freely, scuffing on the chassis.
It seems that the springs are not sold separately.
Hope this helps.
Alan

Welcome Ryan
I agree with nonfractal - if it’s always been like this, the spring may have been installed incorrectly or is catching on some ‘flashing’ from the plastic moulding. Both easily sorted if you remove the guide assembly from inside the chassis.
If it did work, but has stopped, opening up the guide assembly will help you diagnose the problem.
I often remove the spring from my Carrera cars - especially the smaller, lighter models - as the spring can make the front end a bit ‘tight’ (understeer). I prefer the rear to drift out (oversteer), which usually requires removing the rear traction magnet too. That’s just my preference.

Hello Ryan, greetings from Scotland.
Sometimes, simply rotating the guide firmly by hand for a couple of minutes will fix this kind of problem. As above, it might just be a bit of plastic moulding that will fold back if the spring mechanism hits it enough times.

Thank you guys. I had already unscrewed the guide screws once before and tried to make sure it wasn't getting stuck on anything. I will go back in again and give it some extra attention.
I will check out the vids as well and let you guys know if I solve the issue.
Thank you,
Ryan

I agree with Woodcote about removal of the spring altogether.
