Hello! My name is Pip, and I am a new edition to SlotRacer online.
Like 99% of us my interest in Scalextric started with Christmas presents as a little lad. First up C547 Superspeed, then C662 Super Stox. The second  set got enlarged, and mounted on a big sheet of chip board, which annoyed the hell out of my Mum when it was stood up against the wall in the lounge!   Many happy evenings followed racing against my Dad.
Fast forward to 2003 and Dad got me Roger Gillhams great Scalextric guide book, again for Christmas. Funny how things go around. I couldn't believe the detail of the cars, so straight out and purchased the German Grand Prix set (Maserati 250F/Vanwall). Quickly followed by the Bash n Crash figure 8 set, much more fun for my little girl.
After retiring from racing Stock Cars with both Spedeworth and P.R.I.over a 14 year period the slot car thing really got going. Mainly collecting to the theme of the Goodwood Revival, but lots of off shoots as well.
I am now fortunate to have a hobby room at home, with two 4 lane analogue layouts. One Routed, one painted Scalextric Sport track.We have our own club, race once a month for fun, and get about 10 racers most of the time. All friends, and their friends. 
I regularly go to Swindon & Havant swap meets, and Gaydon of course.

Leo, Hello! Yup the Routed Raceway is Goodwood themed, particularly the buildings and the 1960's style Scalextric fencing, and as it features a GP miniatures Goodwood toilet block, I guess that sort of seals the deal!

Hi Andy, we have met before, we chatted for a while at the Havant swap meet a few years ago, whilst you "beat me up on price" on a couple of my cars!   Need to say a big thank you to you and your fellow WhoDigital guys for your excellent and very professional website, from where I have "borrowed" (nicked!) some of your race ideas/protocols for my own club. Thanks ?
