G.O.L.D. racing club
#51

Another excellent day out, the NSR club track is very challenging and fun to drive although it does lack any little people to kill. Catering well up to standard. Looking forward to the next meeting at Conington Park in January.

The first meet of 2020 had 3/4 of the current membership in attendance at the fully detailed Conington Park.
So secret was the location, I drove past 3 times, but at least I had a car to get there  Wavegreen
Plenty of food as usual, with Brian's better half providing delicious hot sausage rolls, bacon rolls and coffee and walnut cake  Thumbup
A variety of cars thrashed around the track, with a few calls to the stewards for some iffy manoeuvres, as is usual !
Due to the high safety standards, damage was limited. I only manged to dislodge the marshals broom cupboard and knock over a rabbit.
Good fun and food as always  Sun

Lots of fun as usual and I got to try the Slot.It Mercedes which, as I suspected, is a bit tall and narrow compared with the Slot.It Calibra. We had a discussion at Norwich about making our saloon class just for the Slot.It DTM series but it would just end  up as Calibra racing methinks.

Brian's missus set the bar very high on the catering front tho....

Hi guys , sorry I didn't make it ,car sharing got in the way !! As I suspected the usual catering digs are at the forefront of conversation .I think I'll just go back to cheese rolls and take the flack !!!

Well todays meet was full of gremlins, but at least steve has got the hang of Bacon rolls and cakes now !
PloughJockey joined us and bought some very tasty homemade custard tarts too  Rofl

My early prognosis was the gremlins got to Fluff's Graphics card, and we had a garbled display, reseating did nothing to improve that.
Then one the lane lap sensors  failed, and on investigation we discovered the led to have snapped a leg right at the led, and another followed suit during the investigation.
So all that equipment was dismantled and taken away for repair.

We decided on doing timed sessions and so racing got underway. Plough Jockey soon proved he was a worthy  member of gold by killing a mechanic in an off, and Brian also managed to knock a marshall of his post. So normal service was resumed  Ambulance

At least one Gremlin followed me out, and on the way home I managed to have a stone fly up from a range rover ahead, and chip the windscreen of my 3 month old car  Cussing

A quick pic and vid of todays action:
