Whatho from the barren Flatlands...
#1

Hello all, just been told of this new forum this morning by chum, Lloyd Lewis, so here we are, in the Fens.
Had been a member of the other one, on and off, but thought it had got a bit slow lately, so kept a mainly watching brief.
Anyway, good luck to this one.

My interests are scale models ( as near as dammit), mainly sports racers, mainly made by me as I'm a tight wad and don't buy more than is necessary. I make body patterns for several people and have done over 50 now. Used to be one of the Fs in FF and FPF Models which was all sold to Dave Capelen and hasn't yet re-appeared.

Now do stuff for PreWing, TinTops and RS, with the odd special for HO and Monster Racing.

Cheers,
Martin

Welcome from the other bit of the Flatlands Martin. How about showing us some of your awesome model making skills. What are you working on at the moment?

Thanks for the welcome Brian.  Currently doing an Aussie big banger saloon for Mel Ault's TinTops range and a British sports car for RS.  Also a 4 valve extended Mike Parkes Ferrari (he was apparently a big lad!).  Recently did some brass front mudguards for David Yerbury for his new Chevron B1 which is just gorgeous!  Makes a Lotus 7 look like the old farm cart it is!  many have criticized the AA Bodies Chevron B8, but I got on really well with its vac-formed roof.  Also busy with the 1/6th scale Vincent Black Shadow brass master which has been a BIG job!

Cheers,
Martin
