Over the last few years I have built multiple WEC cars from superb  printed suppliers.

I love the WEC at the moment, so am trying to build up a grid. I thus bought 2 Scaleauto kits and the Scaleauto BMW.

So what change of heart am I talking about! With NO malice at the superb work done by the home printing suppliers, the cost of the body, parts and decals are higher than the current cost of the superb Spanish suppliers. I just cannot see my way forward in future to not buy these complete kits-

3D printed bodyshells only makes sense for products not available by other means.

Just turned 79 years old and typically for such an old git, have started looking back with a tinge of nostalgia at cars that are not just upside down planes.

I'm pleased to see you are enjoying them Anthony but I can rake up zero enthusiasm for cars that no longer look like such a thing.

Getting old is not just about the body slowly (or not) deteriorating but the brain, whatever there is left of it, starts looking backwards rather than forwards.

Must finish that Model T kit I have somewhere.

Of course, this old gittishness may have something to do with the fact that Ronnie has me out in the garden where I am building patios and laying bricks for paths. That's supposed to be a young man's game too.

So much for our agreement that I do the inside and she does the outside.

Basically, the answer should be yes but nah, we just get "oh but you are so strong and I'm just a little weak female". I still avoid the right hook wherever possible.

Then again, the dividing lines inevitable get blurred. I do the cooking but Ronnie does the dishwasher stuff - can't see the point of them myself, it only takes a few minutes to clear a meal's dishes - I don't iron clothes as mine look the same as they did five minutes after I put them on. The floor looks dirty after a month or two (tiled) but Ronnie seems to think that it needs doing more often so I don't argue, just let her get on with it. Having to sit there with my feet in the air for twenty minutes does wonders for my stomach muscles though.

I mow the grass too so, once again, those marital agreements get bent into un-recognition. In the end, just getting on with stuff seems the reasonable option not to mention the safest.

Gordon - my son has developed a love of WEC that started when we did Le Mans 2001-2003. . His knowledge of the tactics going on during the race is eye opening. I have always loved Le Mans and thls simply reignited my love of the formula.

I say again I am truly impressed either way the mechanics of the Scaleauto car. And must be 40 % cheaper than going the 3DP route. I agree either way the sentiment that 3 DP is for cars not made commercially as I have a number of them built and will always support these home industries when I can!

Le Mans decals make great sets but their backing paper is a very light blue . You CANNOT see the small white decals - really struggling even using a magnifying glass . And for some reason in the Alpine set - no driver names!!

Just musing....... I wonder if the drivers names are subject to copyright if their agents have been doing their thing or if they just get included in the manufacturers overall ownership. If so, another, no doubt, very small earner for the drivers!

I think they overlooked it in error as they are there on the Lamborghini ?
