Trawling for classic sports cars and came across this shell on the one of the down load sites and based on the label coughed up and downloaded.
Question is what is it, as I don't think its what its is labelled as.
Label clue early 1960s Le Mans.
Cheers

Well it isn't an AC Cobra A98
The bonnet is wrong the rear shape is wrong and it has the wrong taillights and the side windows are wrong as well.
I don't know what it is the rear section looks a bit Ford like - Mustangish and as Kevin said it looks a bit Datto like on the front.

Well done to GT40 Racer for correctly identifying what it is supposed to be the AC Cobra A98 1964 infamous for its 185mph drive up the M1 during testing before Le Mans.
As can be seen here,
https://primotipo.com/2018/03/08/ac-cobra-coupe/
the only common areas is they are both fastbacks otherwise its way off.
Determined to rescue something from the investment, been cutting up the shell and re-drawing various sections as highlighted in blue, so I can at least get a NSR Mosler version out of it.
Cheers

More mods.
Still intrigued by what the original shell is, it has shades of the Kellison J6 on the bonnet but other than that who knows...

Yes, my initial thoughts were a mix of Datsun 280 and Kellison and Callaway C12

I just spent an hour (or so) going through the 39 pages of vehicle offerings from that seller on cults3d, don't take the sellers description of unusual cars as gospel, some are nothing like the car they're supposed to be
